What is the advantage of gas shocks for trucks?
Gas shocks for trucks are ideal for, among other things, making your journeys more comfortable and enabling loading and unloading of the car. Gas springs that are used in or around trucks are extra strong and have an improved durability, so that they can last longer. Self-lubricating fluid seal also reduces wear on the piston (rod). This also allows the shock absorber to work efficiently for a controlled ride. In addition, the gas strut provides improved contact between tire and road. This, in turn, allows for better handling by reducing aeration and blurring of impact. This way the circle is complete again and you can enjoy a quiet ride with your truck.
Are gas or oil filled gas springs better?
Gas filled gas springs are generally considered better and more advanced than oil filled gas springs. They therefore provide better performance, comfort and driving safety, as we discussed above. Gas-filled gas springs often contain cold nitrogen gas. This also ensures that the gas strut remains cooler than when you opt for an oil-filled gas spring. In addition, oil is significantly more flammable than nitrogen gas. Oil also generates bubbles during execution that pass through the holes of the piston. However, this is precisely where the damping process takes place. Due to the bubbles, the damping capacity is thus greatly reduced, resulting in shocks and noise in the shock absorber. In addition, due to the reduced heat effect, the gas-filled shock absorbers are also significantly more durable. Enough reason to opt for gas-filled gas shocks for trucks!
