Why choose a gas lift cylinder for heavy duty tasks?
We have already briefly explained it. A gas lift cylinder is an excellent compact object that can help support heavy objects. After all, you shouldn’t think of injuring yourself because you constantly have to lift a heavy object. A gas lift cylinder for heavy duty tasks ensures that the heavy object remains open – as long as you want. This means you no longer have to take on the heavy lifting and you make your work a lot easier! Are you curious which gas springs we recommend for heavy work? We tell you all about it below. Or just click here to check out our wide range of different springs.
Which gas lift cylinders for heavy duty tasks do we recommend?
The choice of your gas lift cylinder for heavy duty tasks depends on a number of factors. For example, it is first of all important to ask yourself in which environment you want to place the gas strut. Do you want to place it in a dry environment? Then normal steel will work fine. However, if the environment can become damp – because perhaps your application is outside – we recommend choosing stainless steel. This extends the life of your gas strut by several years!
It is also important to ask yourself how much pressure the gas lift cylinder must be able to handle. When you choose normal steel, the maximum pressure that the gas spring can handle is 5000 Newton. If you choose stainless steel, the maximum pressure is 2500 Newton.
